Signups are going great and the current number of players stands at 116 with 9 captains signed up. Dr Commish has confirmed that we will indeed be doing a 12-team season featuring 11-man teams, meaning the total number of players will be 132.

ELIGIBLE PROSPECTS (See list below) MUST SIGN UP BY SENDING AN E-MAIL WITH THEIR BE AND PG NAMES TO BECIVILWAR@GMAIL.COM BEFORE 8PM ET TONIGHT!

Remaining spots will be offered on a first come first serve basis starting at 8pm ET. Don't sign up unless you absolutely know you can consistently make picks for the next three months. All players signing up for the remaining spots must have at least 500 comments on BE.

Edited to add: Please don't send e-mails asking for one of the remaining spots until 8pm ET when the prospect sign-ups have closed.

Thinking about becoming a captain?

Do it. It's fun, doesn't have to take a lot of time and is highly rewarding. Once the final list of players is announced I will put up a spreadsheet with S1 and S2 scores that you can use to form the basis of your draft board.

The only requirement is that you have at least one season's worth of BECW experience. What are you waiting for?

When is the draft?

We don't know yet. Once 12 captains are signed up we will attempt to schedule the draft on the day where most (if not all) players are available. Last year we magically managed to find a time that worked for all 10 of us and hopefully we can do so again. Otherwise, non-participating captains will have to auto-draft by sending a prioritized list of players to JDH.
