Fuel TV's UFC Tonight show has been used to break Zuffa news in the past, and tonight was no different. They announced a new event, UFC on Fuel 4, that will go down on July 11th. And the main event is a quality middleweight tussle:
Powerhouse middleweight wrestlers Chris "All American" Weidman and Mark "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" Munoz will battle in the five-round main event of UFC on FUEL TV, the just-announced July 11 fight night. The news was announced on the April 24 edition of FUEL TV's UFC Tonight.
Weidman was called upon as a late replacement at UFC on Fox 2, and overcame a quick weight cut to defeat Demian Maia by unanimous decision. The prospect improved to 4-0 in the UFC with that win, and 8-0 overall. He'll face off with another elite wrestler in Munoz (12-2) who is currently on a four-fight winning streak. His last bout was at UFC 138 against Chris Leben, which he won by a doctor stoppage TKO after the second round.
The event doesn't have a location as of yet. The only other bout announced for the card is a light heavyweight bout between Brandon Vera and James Te Huna.
