UFC president Dana White tweeted tonight that Heavyweights Roy Nelson and Gabriel Gonzaga will meet at UFC 146. Nelson had been slated to welcome Strikeforce veteran Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva to the UFC but Silva got the call up to face Cain Velasquez in what is likely a #1 contender's match.
Gonzaga had been booked against another Strikeforce refugee in Shane del Rosario. No word on who del Rosario will face if anyone.
Ironically Nelson trolled me Saturday night by tweeting that he would be facing Velasquez in a #1 contender's bout.
