The movie, a no-frills affair from the first-time Irish director Ian Palmer, offers a circumscribed look inside the often-closed world of Irish travelers through their bare-knuckle fistfights. Historically nomads who were once better known as tinkers and described by Yeats as “the people of the roads,” the travelers long lived outside the mainstream, but from their on-camera showboating — as they duke it out, crow about their wins, taunt the losers and bang the drums for the next slugfest — they’re ready for their collective close-up.."
