SB Nation is kicking off a new web series on their Youtube page called called "Core of Sports", which is sponsored by the United States Marine Corps. The first video of the series follows UFC middleweight and former Marine Brian Stann as he prepared to fight Alessio Sakara at UFC on Fuel 2. Stann had to deal with the loss of his brother-in-law before the bout, which made things even harder in terms of preparation. "The All-American" went on to win the bout over Sakara by first-round technical knockout

In the video, Stann discusses his decision to attend the Naval Academy, and how much the Marine Corp Martial Arts program helped him develop mentally and physically. He went on to be decorated with a Silver Star, and is currently 12-4 in MMA competition. You can find more information about the MCMAP here.
