UFC on Fuel 2 was full of excellent fights, but only four men could win bonuses. With nine finishes on the twelve-fight card, there were some tough decision to be made. Dana White announced them after the card was over, and here's who picked up the $50,000 checks:
Fight of the Night: Brad Pickett vs. Damacio Page
Knockout of the Night: Siyar Bahadurzada
Submission of the Night: John Maguire
Pickett and Page engaged in a back-and-forth brawl that was finally ended by Pickett late in the second round. Other contenders for the FOTN were the main event between Alexander Gustafsson and Thiago Silva, and the preliminary card bout between Francis Carmont and Magnus Cedenblad.
Bahadurzada was a clear choice for KOTN with his 42-second knockout of Paulo Thiago. This was one of the best knockouts of the year so far.
There were six submissions on the card tonight, but Maguire's excellent transition from a kimura attempt by opponent DaMarques Johnson to a lightning-quick armbar win was a thing of beauty.
