UFC On Fuel 2 Results: Brad Pickett Submits Damacio Page In Frenetic Affair

Brad Pickett and Damacio Page engaged in a war, but it was "One Punch" who came out on top in the opening main card bout at UFC on Fuel 2. Pickett dropped Page in both rounds with big shots, and a huge uppercut late in the second was the one that led to the finish. Pickett jumped onto Page's back after stunning him with the punch and locked up a rear naked choke at 4:05 of the second round.

The two fighters got to work right away, exchanging punches before Pickett got a takedown shortly after the start of the bout. He tried to work on the ground, but Page attacked an arm and they returned to the feet. Pickett dropped Page with a big punch, but was unable to get the finish. He worked in Page's guard for a while before the fighters returned to their feet. They engaged once again, before Pickett got a takedown near the end of the round.

Things got off to a quick start again in the second, with the fighters exchanging shots. Page landed a solid left hook, but the counter left hook from Pickett dropped Page. Pickett dove in for the kill, who swarmed him against the cage. He trapped his left arm and threw dozens of punches, but wasn't able to get the stop from the referee. He switched to a guillotine, but Page countered it and popped out, sitting in Pickett's guard. The Angel of Death looked for his own guillotine, but Pickett reversed. They retrned to the feet, where they both threw with reckless abandon. Pickett landed a devastating uppercut and jumped on Page's back. He was able to lock up the choke and Page had to tap.

Pickett was looking to rebound from his loss to Renan Barao at UFC 138. Page has lost two bouts in a row, including his only UFC bout against Brian Bowles at UFC on Versus 3 last March.
