The Fuel broadcast is live. First fight up shortly.
Damacio Page vs. Brad Pickett - Round 1 - Picket ends up on top after both men come out swinging in the first ten seconds. Upkick lands for Page. Pickett tries to hit him and almost gets armbarred but gets out. Pickett with a nice punch. Now Page with a great combo and a takedown. Pickett gets back up, gets a takedown of his own now. Pickett doing good work from the top, landing some big shots now. Pickett doing very well now but Page does get up. Pickett misses a flying knee but manages to get a takedown off of it. Big shots by Pickett as Page stands up. Page is pretty well gassed and Pickett won the round.
Round 2 - More wild swinging from Page and he's starting to look for the home run while Pickett is picking his shots. Big left from Pickett sends Page stumbling backward and to the canvas. Pickett pounces with big punches but can't get the finish yet. Page is bleeding and eating shots as he turtles up but somehow manages to counter a guillotine by Pickett by taking him down and ending up on top. They're back to the feet and Pickett is drilling him with big uppercuts and hooks. Pickett on Page's back on the ground now. Pickett locks in the rear naked choke and Page taps out. Brad Pickett wins by submission (rear naked choke), 4:05 of round 2.
DaMarques Johnson vs. John Maguire - Round 1 - Leg kicks from Jonson to get the action going. A third one now. Maguire with a takedown now and Johnson is trying to lock him up. Johnson working off his back well with elbows and now trying to lock up an omoplata. Maguire spins, almost gets armbarred, spins again and is back on top in Johnson's guard. Johnson keeps landing shots off his back. Maguire is being very patient and manages to advance position to the point of having Johnson's back with 20 seconds remaining in the round but can't finish before the round ends. Very close round but I think Maguire takes it 10-9.
Round 2 - Johnson got the early takedown and tried to work from the top and did so fairly effectively for more of the first half of the round. Eventually they were back to standing with Johnson throwing punches and kicks and Maguire pretending he was hurt before getting a takedown and working a little ground and pound. Johnson tries to lock up a kimura from the bottom. He keeps trying to wrench it free so Maguire steps over, locks up an armbar and Johnson is forced to tap. John Maguire wins by submission (armbar), 4:40 of round 2.
Dennis Siver vs. Diego Nunes - Round 1 - Siver takes the center of the cage while Nunes is trying to circle outside. Both guys throwing head kicks and missing. Siver lands a punch and then tries to get the takedown but can't really establish positioning before Nunes is up. Nunes with a kick and a punch that get in. Nice hook by Nunes, Siver lands a kick to the body at the same time. Spinning back kick by Nunes misses. Hard kick to the chest by Siver. Few hard shots by Siver now and a few punches back from Nunes, but it was Siver that got the better of the exchange. A lot of kicks being thrown by both men. Spinning hook kick to the head misses for Nunes but a hard leg kick by Siver. Nunes with some knees in the clinch, Siver punches to the body. 10-9 Siver, but close round.
Round 2 -More of the same early here as neither man has really established full control of the fight. Siver just misses with a wild hard right hand. Siver lands a hook after Nunes misses a spinning kick. Nunes with a good leg kick and then one to the body. Nunes having a better round this round as he has Siver hesitating and it's allowing him to work his kicks. Good leg kick and a hard left hook by Siver. He's making the statement to take the round in the final 30 seconds and given how little else happened, he got it. 10-9 Siver.
Round 3 - Nunes just missed with a big head kick and then lands a knee. Another spinning kick to the head JUST brushes Siver's head. Nunes with a left hand that hurts Siver as he falls to a knee. Siver gets up and they're slugging it out now. Siver with a nice counter. Left hand by Siver. Another big shot by Siver. A few knees to the head by Nunes in the clinch. Nunes catches Siver and he's bleeding from near his left eye. Nunes clinches, throws a knee, Siver with a big right that drops Nunes briefly. Nunes back to his feet and misses a head kick. Very good fight but I'd still go 10-9 Siver for the sweep.
Official Scorecards: 29-28 across the board. Dennis Siver wins by unanimous decision.
Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Paulo Thiago - Round 1 - A lot of staring at each other and just as the crowd starts to boo, Thiago tries to charge in but eats a very short right and is out cold. As he falls to the mat he eats another right to the ear and then smashes his face into the mat. That was...violent. Siyar Bahadurzada wins by KO (punch), 0:42 of round 1.
Alessio Sakara vs. Brian Stann - Round 1 - Leg kick by Stann right away. Leg kick again and Sakara is short on the counter. Stann gets tagged by a two punch counter flurry after trying to throw a kick. They Traade and Stann lands a bunch of knees. Sakara just leaves his face sitting there until the knees knock him down. Stann tries to throw punch after punch but can't stop Sakara. After spending some time in his guard he lands a hard shot that puts Sakara to sleep. Brian Stann wins by KO (punch), 2:26 of round 1.
Alexander Gustafsson vs. Thiago Silva - Round 1 - Gustafsson coming out staying outside while Silva throws some power shots that miss. Leg kick from Silva misses. Gustafsson tags him and Silva is hurt but he can't finis him. They're back to standing, Gustafsson tees off and Silva is bleeding. Gustafsson lands hard again but Silva lands a nice counter punch. Gustafsson doing a good job with combination punching and keeping Silva from getting set for much more than the occasional leg kick. 10-9 Gustafsson.
Round 2 - Gustafsson tossed him to the ground early but they're standing again and the Gustafsson combinations are still flowing. Tremendous combination by Gustafsson now that chases Silva backward. Silva is mainly just chasing and then Gustafsson tags him. Silva did land a nice right hand in the later part of the round though. 10-9 Gustafsson.
Round 3 - More of the same early in the round as Silva can't catch up to his foe and is eating punches for his trouble. Silva is landing the occasional leg kick still, but Gustafsson's uppercuts and hooks are much more effective. Big Knee and an uppercut by Gustafsson, and another uppercut. Silva comes on strong at the end of the round but too little, too late. 10-9 Gustafsson.
Official Scorecards: 30-27, 30-27, 29-28. Alexander Gustafsson wins by unanimous decision.
