Hacran Dias signing with the UFC is the best possible news. The #1 featherweight in Roland & MacLeod's 2012 Scouting Report applied for the TUF Brasil tryouts and was promptly ushered to the front of the line. Fantastic signing and I hope competing in the same class as his teammate Aldo doesn't cause any rifts between the fighters. Dias still has a way to go before getting a title shot though.

Bobby Lashley signing for a bout with James Thompson for Supa Fite LEEG will surely ignite more Fedor/UFC theories, but it really isn't out of the realm of possibility that Lashley can make a quick turn around and fight in India and Russia within a month. So goes the international fight scene and lack of an international commission to regulate fighters. Lashley isn't known to make that kind of quick turn-around, but he may be pushing to get his name back into the top US promotions...yet another one we'll have to see play out.

Doug Marshall also makes an appearance at SFL 3 against respected opponent Zelg Galesic. On a personal note, Doug and I were friends back in the early 90's before he became a MMA fighter and he used to come over to watch UFC tapes (yes VHS) at my place. Naturally I hope he gets it back on track and has a successful night in Kuala Lampur, which is about as far from Visalia as one can get...WAR RHINO, WAR VSL!
