The California State Athletic Commission is meeting today at 11:30 a.m. PT to review the licensing situation of Strikeforce heavyweight Josh Barnett. Barnett has not been licensed in California since failing a drug test in 2009. It was Barnett's third failure of a drug test for steroids and forced the cancellation of his planned bout with Fedor Emelianenko.

The live video feed is above.

Barnett applied to be licensed again after a year had passed since his test failure but was declined due to a series of miscues including missed meetings and showing up without his attorney and refusing to answer questions. Barnett is scheduled to fight Daniel Cormier in the finals of Strikeforce's heavyweight grand prix.

That fight is expected to take place on May 5th, hopefully in California.

Barnett and Cormier are the last fighters standing from a tournament field that included Alistair Overeem, Fedor Emelianenko, Andrei Arlovski, Antonio Silva and Sergei Kharitonov.
