The credited inventor of the anaconda choke will be making his UFC debut in Rio on June 23rd. Milton Vieira, who signed with Strikeforce last year and moved over to the UFC recently, will be stepping into the octagon at UFC 147 to face off with Felipe Arantes. UFC Brasil's twitter account is the one doing the reporting here (I don't think you need to speak Portuguese to get the idea):
Vieira (13-7-1) is an eleven-year veteran of the sport who has never been stopped in his 21 career fights. He's a second-degree black belt in BJJ and is currently on a three-fight win streak. Arantes (13-4, 2 NC) is 1-1 in the UFC so far, dropping a decision to Yuri Alcantara at UFC 134 but rebounding with a decision win over Antonio Carvalho at UFC 142.
The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card.
