UFC on FX 3 is going to be staging a probably loser-leaves-town featherweight matchup on June 8th. One is looking for his first undisputed win in a long time, and the other is searching for his first win at 145. As usual, UFC.com has the news:
Leonard Garcia and Matt Grice have agreed to a featherweight bout at UFC on FX in June. Garcia is known for his wild and wide-open style in the Octagon, Grice is equally aggressive, which should translate into an intriguing match-up.
Garcia (15-8-1) is a former WEC featherweight title challenger that has fallen on some tough times of late, going 1-2 in his three UFC fights so far. His lone win over Nam Phan at the TUF 13 Finale was highly controversial, and he dropped a decision to Phan in the rematch at UFC 136. He will step in the cage for the first time in eight months against Grice (14-4), who is on his second stint in the UFC after a 1-3 stretch at lightweight a few years ago. He made his featherweight debut at UFC on Versus 6 against Ricardo Lamas, but was finished via TKO in the second round.
The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card.
