What a rough day for the former Strikeforce LHW Champ. I have tried to rationalize his Tweets about the NSAC decision, and his rant on the NSAC member Pat Lundval. First off about the use of steroids, done deal, suspended for 9 months. As far as i see, he was lucky it wasn't a year, even for his first offence. Mo did not complain about the suspension itself. Instead, he attacked NSAC member Pat Lundval through his Tweets on Twitter. Mo goes on record saying Pat was racist, for asking him if he could read and write. That was only asked to eliminate the possibility for the excuse he didn't understand what ingredients were in any supplements he ingested. While the question could make Mo feel belittled, he had no right to suggest that because of that question being asked was a direct link to being racist. That defensive, ignorant comment is what really led to his termination, in my eyes.
Whenever a fighter is caught using banned steroids right after a fight, Wins are changed to No Contest's. His last fight was against the touted Lorenzo Larkin. While being a fairly newcomer, with good stand-up, i just don't get it, why would Mo need the help of steroids, was he lacking confidence. Now King Mo is also out $39 000 for the fine that the NSAC handed down.
So where does King Mo go from here? I think he will want way to much money for Bellator, if they would even want him. I think Mo better get that knee fixed, get training really hard, serve the suspension, and wait. He was a good name, but that has lowered lots. So i'm just not sure who will want him, allthough i'm pretty sure he will get picked up by someone. He will have to beat a bunch of the biggest names outside of the ufc before ever getting another look form the UFC. Thats saying he might have a chance, Something tells me we have seen Mo already get as close to the ufc as we ever will.
