An Ultimate Fighter finalist will meet a debuting prospect at UFC on FX 4 in Atlantic City, N.J., as Ramsey Nijem meets C.J. Keith in a lightweight battle.
Sources at the AMR group who represent Nijem confirmed the fight to MMAWeekly.com on Friday.
The 23-year-old Nijem (5-2) made it all the way to the TUF 13 welterweight finals, but was knocked out by Anthony Ferguson in the first round. A drop back to lightweight worked out well for him at UFC 137, where he thoroughly dominated Danny Downes and picked up a decision win. While training for a December bout with Anthony Njokuani, he broke his hand and has has been healing up ever since.
Keith (8-0) has had an interesting path to UFC on FX 4. A former high school wrestler and army veteran, the undefeated prospect signed with the UFC in early January. But less than an hour after he learned of his UFC contract, he found out that his family home had burned down. Everyone was fine, but it was still quite a shock for Keith. He is now ready to compete in the big leagues though, and he'll face a stiff test in his debut.
