The rash of fight announcements has continued, this time in the bantamweight division. It'll be a TUF 14 alum versus a tough former King of the Cage champion at UFC on FX 3 on June 8th. UFC.com has the news:
At that same event, bantamweights Dustin Pague and Jared Papazian will square off. Both fighters are known for their hard-hitting, toe-to-toe style which should make for an exciting matchup.
As mentioned, Pague (10-5) was a bantamweight contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 14, advancing to the semi-finals before losing to T.J. Dillishaw. Pague's quarter-final bout with Louis Gaudinot was voted "fight of the season" and he picked up a $25,000 bonus. He lost his only official fight in the UFC at the TUF 14 Finale when he was TKO'd by John Albert. Papazian (14-7, 1 NC) stepped in on just two weeks notice to face Mike Easton at UFC on FX 1, but dropped a majority decision.
The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card.
