IBJJF Chicago Open Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the IBJJF Chicago Winter Open! Some of the best grapplers in the Windy City will be turning out to lay out all out on the mats. If you live in the Chicagoland area, I encourage you to come out and check out the competition. Last year drew a fantastic field including Clark Gracie, Davi Ramos and several other well known black belts. While this year's registration was a little thinner, it still is a quality event.

There is no admission fee and parking is only five dollars, which is a steal in Chicago. It is being held at Jones Convocation Center at Chicago State, which is at the intersection of S. Martin Luther King Drive and 95th street and is just a few blocks east of the 95th street red line stop.

I'll be there cheering on my Gracie Barra teammates and getting results for BE. Former WEC Champion and current UFC fighter Eddie WIneland will be competing. Here is the schedule for the event. So again, come on down, it is a great way to spend a Saturday and afterwards we can go somewhere and watch Strikeforce.
