UFC plans NYC press conference that interferes with scheduled March 6th rally to support legal MMA in NY.
The "Coalition to Legalize Mixed Martial Arts in New York" (http://nymmanow.blogspot.com) has planned a full day of events in support of the legalization of MMA in New York State. The events are planned for March 6th, beginning at 11:30am.
The first event is a rally in front of Governor Cuomo's NYC office, scheduled from 11:30am - 1:30pm. The rally will be followed by a FREE MMA film festival at Madison Square Garden from 4pm - 8pm, where three documentaries will be shown and prizes will be given away.

Two days ago, the UFC announced a NYC public press conference at Radio City Music Hall regarding their upcoming UFC of Fox event scheduled for May 5th. They scheduled the presser for March 6th at 11am (a full two month before the actual fights), which would split media attention and draw attendance away from our very important rally at the Governor's office.
We would love to work together with the UFC and make this day even greater by allowing fans to be able to attend all three events. If the UFC were able to move their presser up by as little as an hour, people could attend the presser, our rally, and the film festival. It would be a fantastic day for NY MMA.
I have reached out to the UFC, but the Coalition could use all the support you guys can offer. Let Dana know that we should all be working together for NY MMA!
