-Nine fighters came into the elimination round with undefeated records… Six were able to win and move into the house (Sicilia, Chiesa, Lawrence, Pichel, Jury, and Vick). Jon Tuck one of the undefeated fighters who lost, looked to be on his way to a victory before breaking his toe in a bad way.
-Two fighters in the house, Chris Tickle (7-4), and Cristiano Marcello (12-3) have more than 2 losses in their career. When you look at this house you do not see the old veteran Journeyman that usually slips into the field. Marcello would be the closest guy to that description, but I have the feeling that he has never focused on MMA, and is now ready to commit full time.
-The two fighters with the fewest MMA fights making it into the house were Justin Lawrence, and James Vick. They had different experiences gaining their way in, as Lawrence dominated en-route to a KO, while Vick had a razor close round with Dakota Cochran go his way.
-Four fighters came into the elimination round off a loss. Two (Al Iaquinta, Chris Sunders) made it in, while the other two failed to make the field (Akbarh Arreloa, Dakota Cochrane).
-Here are the guys who won their way into the house, and how I rank them after seeing them fight. Some guys had dynamic performances, others just barley scraped by with close decisions. Teams will be picked next week, and I’m interested to see if the coaches shared my assessment of the fighters.

There were also two guys who I wouldn't be surprised to see show up in UFC with-in the next 6-12 months even though they lost tonight.
Jon Tuck was in control until his gruesome toe injury, and he kept fighting on, but just wasn't the same. Dana White seemed impressed by his toughness, and willingness to fight through an injury. Tuck is based out of Guam, and with UFC visiting the Pacific more often, Tuck seems like a natural fit to fill out an undercard.
I actually scored the round for Jeff Smith, he controlled the first half of his fight, before getting in a bad position going for some submissions late. He came very close to finishing the fight, and won the stand up exchanges. The judges seemed to forget the first half of the round when the scored this one.
