Danny Castillo Meets John Cholish At UFC On Fox 3

Photo

WEC veteran Danny Castillo went a respectable 3-1 in his year in the UFC, and he'll look to improve on that mark in New Jersey on May 5th at UFC on Fox 3. UFC.com has the info:

Verbal agreements are in for a lightweight matchup between New Jersey’s own John Cholish and Danny "Last Call" Castillo May 5. Both men are coming off of December wins - Cholish scored a TKO of Mitch Clarke at UFC 140; Castillo took a late-replacement gig and earned the split decision over Anthony Njokuani at UFC 141.

Castillo (13-4) is a Team Alpha Male member that has only been bested once in the UFC, by Jacob Volkmann at UFC on Versus 5. He holds wins over Njokuani, Shamar Bailey, and Joe Stevenson. As mentioned above, Cholish (8-1) made his UFC debut at UFC 140 and defeated Clarke by TKO in the second round. He is currently on an eight-fight winning streak.

Castillo is a tough SOB, looking forward to seein him back in the Octagon

He has some pretty solid wins so far in the UFC. His fight against Njoukian was pretty, but Njoukian was smashin dudes up before he faced Castillo.Got to ive him props for that.

Hoping Cholish wins this.

I did not enjoy Castillo’s LnP display vs. Njokuani.

Ahh yes, because trading strikes with Njokuani, when you are nowhere near his level, is a smart tactic?

saw Cholish when he kneebarred the shit out of Marc Stevens

he will take this for sure

Years ago someone told Polynesian DNA that everyone was surrounded by sea monsters and it believed them. It made humans that were immune to head injuries, fast enough to run on the highway, and big enough to use the carpool lane. Putting two of them in the same ring is like telling your local tectonic plates to fuck themselves.

Fighting is like champagne. It goes to the heads of cowards as quickly as of heroes. Any fool can be brave on a battlefield when it's be brave or else be killed.

Cholish is on a solid win streak

I’d like to see him keep it going.

Cholish is a fighter that I am keeping an eye on as he seems pretty skilled and could get high up the Lightweight ladder.

Here's to hoping Cholish smashes Castillo.

Should be a good fight either way though.

Oh no you didn't.--Nick Ring
