Who will be picking up UFC Undisputed 3?
I did not pre order a copy but I'm sure I'll have the game by the end of the month I have played the demo and I think it is pretty fun. Who else is thinking about getting it? Which fighter(s) would you probably use the most in each division?
The scheduled roster for the game:

Luke Thomas' Beard Season 2 Captain
Models are fine
It’s the shaders and rendering that’s making them look wonky
wish they’d put more time and effort into ramping up their rendering ala Fight Night and such

Hells to the yes I’m getting it. Pre-ordering at Gamestop to get their “contender’s pack” with Diaz, Davis, Stann, and Mayhem. The demo is great. I hated UFC 2010 and loved the first undisputed. I also loved Ea Sports MMA, though I was very surprised since I thought it was going to be garbage, I think the new Undisputed combines the best parts of EA’s game with their own new tweaks and upgrades. I’m just hoping that the Career Mode is actually good and getting an overhaul. The Pride Mode will no doubt be awesome. Can’t wait to play some Grand prix’s!!!!
'Drive' was a brilliant film. Eff All Yez who don't agree!

considering that I purchased UFC 2 for $60 on the first day
and you can buy it 6 months later for half the price.
I’m going to wait 6 months to buy this one.
I will be picking it up. If I’m not impressed, it may be my last Undisputed game. I loved 09. So much. I think I had 2000-3000 matches online. Then ‘10 was such a disappointment to me. They went for a more “fluid” style and it just felt off to me. If it isn’t improved enough in 3, I may be done. We’ll see what happens.
I’ll start off playing Career Mode for quite awhile, but once I start playing online send me and invite. XBL GT: inTIMidation31. A couple people have already sent me requests but I haven’t been on XBL in quite awhile.

INEPT coming for the season 2 BECW title.
I am, for sure.
Just for the simulation mode. I can’t get enough of beating up Rampage with Silva in pride mode. When I land a nice punch combo and end it with a flush head kick that rocks him, it feels awesome.

planning on picking it up next Tuesday when it drops.
Can’t wait to rip off limbs with Palhares and knock out some IQ points with Carwin. Interested in playing with PRIDE, too.

I was planning on getting it day one. But I have sadly cancelled my pre-order after seeing the new submission system. It’s totally distracting and unsatisying to have a HUD based mini-game pop up. Not to mention inauthentic. They should use the new sub system but minus the HUD. Have controller vibration and camera angle/zoom show how deep the sub is and who is winning the fight for the sub
If you haven’t actually tried the new sub system, I’d at least give it a shot. It’s not “authentic” by any means, but I don’t think it’s that bad. And it’s much better than 2010’s shining.

I did try it on the demo and it bummed me out. i think the rest of the game looks good but HUD based mini games are just a bad idea. Maybe I can get over my disapointment.
Oh cool, at least you gave it a chance
I don’t mind it too much, tho I think it has it’s own problems. Overall the gameplay is much improved from the last edition and I think it’ll be a lot of fun.

I love it
It’s the part of the game that reminds me the most of training. The interplay of levers and counterweights is more complex than ring-around-the-rosey, but the run/chase and deceit of it feel more like grappling than button mashing does striking. I’d prefer a game that was nearly all about balancing, manipulating, and utilizing a series of those abstract representations and letting the character models reflect the natural consequences of foot placement or weight distribution and whatnot. There’s an awesome judo game waiting to be made all about hips and footwork as soon as someone both good at making videogames and into combat sports is up for it.

I'll be picking it up
I’m kinda doubtful on how much I’ll enjoy the game. I’m mostly going to play because I’m in two leagues with friends. I was in an ea mma league and it made the game a lot more enjoyable, so I’m giving this one a try.
You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.
Check out the demo
It is a lot better than 10.
I’ll be picking it up and I’ll be ready to challenge you on the 14th :)

Im getting it, but the fucking contenders pack, expansion pack, johsnson pack international , rondaarousesme packs for 5 bucks each are pissing me off. JUST GIVE US THE FIGHTERS THQ
God help me, I lusted, and there is a promise in such sweat. But it is a whore's vengeance, and you must see it; I set myself entirely in your hands. I know you must see it now.
ea needs zuffa licensing
it would b great ea has tons of experience with combat games. I find myself playing ea mma more than the undisputed games. The control of the various strikes is a winning point for me. THQ is good but i think zuffa should def try to go with ea just to see the type of product they would make with the right budget. Demo was fun though….
Not to mention, EA made the mistake of getting on Dana’s shit list.
On top of that, of the two teams that have done combat sports games for EA (EA Canada and Tiburon) only EA Canada really makes games that are downright incredible.
Tiburon hasn’t made an inspired game in over ten years.

Will get it
Don’t understand all the hate towards 2010. You could be surprisingly creative in that game with regards to striking. Bit worried about this one as there doesn’t seem to be as many different kinds of strikes available for each guy.
no hate here
just curious to c how ea would implement new mechanics in only their second try at a mma game. Especially with the funding provided by zuffa. 2010 was great, however besides some borrowed tricks from ea mma, undisputed 3 will probably play very similarly to its previous renditions.
2010 had an incredible learning curve toward it
You had to be very very good at defending the clinch and oppressive ground game to be able to have fun. At my best I was pretty good at the game and could still be controlled by the best exploiters. I can definitely see how a lot of those tactics could be extremely frustating to people just picking up the game.
