Join us here at Bloody Elbow.com at approximately 1 a.m. ET/10 p.m. PT for live video coverage of tonight's UFC 143 post-fight press conference. You can catch the live video at the Youtube stream below the jump, or over at MMA Fighting. The winners of the UFC 143 fights will sit down to talk about their performances and Dana White will announce the Fight of the Night bonuses. All the fallout from the card will be discussed, along with a variety of other stuff.
The main event of tonight's card is a stellar battle for the UFC interim welterweight title with former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz taking on former WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit. The winner will likely face UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre later in the year. The co-main event is a heavyweight bout between Fabricio Werdum and Roy Nelson.

The UFC brass has to realize that they just lost out on their card of the year. They’re probably formulating a media strategy to save face. Can’t blame them.
I don’t exactly feel bad for them either, though. Brought the entire thing upon themselves with the direction in which they’ve steered the sport. Soccer mom MMA is how you succeed now.

Condit winning was #10 on sportscenter top 10

I kinda understood the whole WEC thing because Pettis or Henderson weren’t very popular except to the hardcore fans.
it just bothers me that espn seems to say "oh the ufc was on tonight, lets throw one of their highlights at the top of the list"
i wouldnt have put the condit fight on the list. but, i definitely would have put the thompson knockout up there. if this is supposed to be a top 10 lists of sporting plays of the day, i dont understand how a dunk or a double play can be considered better than a ridiculous knockout.

He’s the face of UFC and when he looks mad and disappointed it comes out in his promotional abilities. So what that Condit won, spin it into something more awesome (even if it isn’t) so that the random person watching believes it something better. He should really take some hints from News Media and Floyd Mayweather.
