ESPN have a free sport weekend on UK freeview - so not only am i just settling down to watch fulham v's manchester city, but i am setting my alarm for UFC143 in the early hours....
If i am not wrong this is the first time any mixed martial arts of any significance has been shown live and free on british television - and what a card to be the first... c'mon!

ESPN UK has had a broadcast arangment with the ufc for a while now
This is definitely not the first PPV they will be broadcasting live. I know I have caught at least a half a dozen shows live on the UK version of epsn.
I am sure a lot more ppl will be watching though with the freeview weekend going on.
He knows this...
It’s not that he is saying that the UK ESPN is getting its first UFC Live event. He is saying that it is a free ESPN weekend, instead of having to pay the usual £10 p/month, you are getting the weekend for free, thus alowing him to watch Man City v Fulham and Diaz v Condit for free.

Man, I'm sick of having to get up early every sun morning if I want my ufc fill
When they go to africa or have shows in europe, be much more fun
