While much of the recent attention focused on MIguel Torres has been surrounded his firing and re-hiring from the Ufc, the lack of attention on one thing baffles me. Why isn't he in contention for MMA GOAT? I hear GSP, Anderson Silva, Fedor, and occasionally Hendo being thrown around, but never Torres. I wasn't a fan of MMA while he was at his best, but while on Sherdog I realized he at one time held a 37-1 record. He was a pioneer of the lower weight classes. He has four losses in forty-four fights. He holds wins over Antonio Banuelos, Charlie Valencia, Takeya Mizugaki, and Chase Beebe (who was 12-1 at the time). Am I missing something here? Is this just the fickle nature of MMA fans rearing its ugly head?
