UFC 144 and MMA irony

This Is somtething i've been thinking about after UFC 144.

Just a quick something to think about: After UFC 144 Benson Henderson beat Frankie Edgar to become the UFC lightweight champion meanwhile Anthony Pettis blasted Joe Lauzon in the head essentially claiming a shot at the title next. In the final show of WEC Pettis defeated Henderson to claim the WEC lightweight title then was transfered to the UFC with a gaurenteed title shot but was delayed by the Frankie Edgar/Gray maynard draw so while they figured that out Pettis decided to take a risk and fight Clay Guida figuratively losing the WEC title to Clay. Now the man that Pettis beat( Ben Henderson) also transferred over to the UFC and went on a tear beating Mark Bocek, Jim Miller and the man Pettis lost the "WEC Title" to, Clay Guida. Henderson beat Guida effectively taking back his WEC title and gaining a shot at the UFC title which this last saturday he won by a 5 round decision and now for the ultimate bit of MMA irony: the now UFC (and figurative WEC) lightweight champion Ben Henderson will now fight the man that beat him for the title that he essentially got back anyways in Anthony Pettis! This folks is why I love MMA you could not make up a better storyline than that! Facebook.com/GeekfightMMA
