The UFC will return to Australia for the third time on March 3rd. This time the event won't be on PPV, but will air live on FX (due to the time difference, the show will air on Friday, March 2nd in North America). The main event is a quality welterweight bout pitting Thiago Alves vs. Martin Kampman. The card will also feature the semi-finals of the mini-tournament that will decide the first UFC flyweight champion, with Joseph Benavidez facing Shooto 123 lb. champ Yasuhiro Urushitani and Demetrious Johnson facing Tachi Palace Fights flyweight champion Ian McCall.
