Quality idea
This is the first of these that I’ve caught, but I’m a sucker for anyone doing for periodic quick rundowns.
You may want to add something about the last fight these fighters had, and what organization it was in, just for perspective, and possibly something on potential opponents if they sign anything immediately when they are picked up.

Thanks for checking it out & for the advice,
something about the last fight these fighters had, and what organization it was in, just for perspectiveI could link the fighter’s name to something like Sherdog for anyone interested in records/opponents – great idea. Sherdog often causes panic when uttered, but as long as you stay away from the forums it’s a great site for record checking (although their verification methods are also scrutinized by many, it’s the best available…if anyone knows a better source, please let me know). I was originally hoping more people would comment on fighters as they were signed and give the community their thoughts, analysis, etc. but I wasn’t sure how to beg for page views.
The ‘potential opponents’ is a gray area as most are signed without an opponent in mind, so ‘TBD’ would be out there a lot…how about including the first card that they would be scheduled to appear?
ex: Issei Tamura – Signed Feb. 11 by UFC – 145lb – UFC 144 Japan, Feb. 25
I do update past posts to include new info & have started to add the updates to the current posts. Like fighters, I’m always trying to get better!

Regardless of what you think of Sherdog
I think it goes without saying that their fight finder is the premiere database out there. Guys like Chris Nelson and Jordan Breen have spent an unbelievable amount of time hunting down and entering obscure fights there. It’s not perfect, but to the best of my knowledge, it’s light years beyond anything else currently in existence.
The UG has a database that they claim is the “Official Database of Mixed Martial Arts” as selected by the Association of Boxing Commissions. I haven’t messed with it too much but it seems to be fairly good as a backup.
Full Contact Fighter also runs/ran a database here, however I’m not sure how updated it is, and even a few years ago when I was looking at it, it was nowhere near as complete as SD.
