Soares loses another

Yeah, he's not doing so well lately.
Anderson was pissed at him, too… I wonder if he’ll leave Soares too

Good
I feel the only reason Soares was managing so many good fighters is because he can speak both Portuguese and English fluently.

He provided the promotional and managerial chops to get a lot of folks fighting for bigger organizations.
Ed Soares is a ladder to climb and throw away.

The only reason he's successful
is because he was one of the few managers who could speak Portuguese and English. The only other ones I can really think of are Cesar Gracie and maybe Renzo, but they only manage fighters that they train.
That's pretty much it
I haven’t seen anything to suggest that Soares is an above-average negotiator or director of his fighters’ careers.

Except
that in Aldo’s case, he managed Aldo AFTER he become champion, and not before. He’s only worked with aldo when aldo was #1.

soares
was present at a time when he could exploit the dearth of multi-lingual mma managers. i figure there are others now competing in that space and his monopoly is now over. i’d be interested in quantative proof that the lives of JDS and Aldo are/will be financially improved by someone else. will anderson silva jump ship next? there’s been rumblings.
The strong do as they can and the weak suffer what they must.
Anderson wasn't pleased with some stuff Soares said before
so I wouldn’t be surprised.
Maybe JDS learning to speak English for TUF led to Soares’ downfall.
i think you're right
brazilian fighters learning english will empower them. they’ll be more independent of an english speaking manager, and have additional promotional opportunities.
