José Aldo reminisces fighting under PRIDE rules
While watching a presentation for the new game UFC Undisputed 3, José Aldo cracked a smiled when seeing the possibility of fighting under PRIDE rules. When questioned as to why, he went on to explain:
I have fought under (PRIDE) rules in the beginning of my career. Stomps were permitted everywhere, kicks on the ground, you could stomp the head… You could even "kill the cockroach," it was so awesome.
Aldo went on to thank the developers for making him "prettier" in the game and concluded with the following:
It’s a dream for me to be part of a game such as this. I never thought I’d reach such a level one day.

How cool would that be if you could make him run into the crowd after a KO?
F-ing love this guy.
I wonder what "kill the cockroach" is
All that comes to mind is Yuki Kondo and Wanderlei’s foot

Definition: a traditional doll crafted from the stomach hair of obese, unkempt, typically diabetic men who suck at fighting. This type of doll is commonly crafted in the deep South and seems to be exclusively purchased by fans of the NBA franchise the LA Lakers, who believe the dolls give them the power to be as cool as Celtics fans.

Aldo with knees on the ground?
Don’t tease me now, Orcus!
Those videos of him fighting in Brazil with soccer kicks and stomps are brutal.

Just YouTube
Jose Aldo highlights. Alot of the highlight reel video’s contain a decent amount of footage from his earlier fights, fighting under said rules. His soccer kicks are horrible, he throws them with the same killer instinct you’d expect from him and every single one looks like it would take your head off.

If a guy is soccer kicking his opponents
Then he probably needs a step up in competition. To my knowledge, most high level fighters can defend against multiple soccer kicks.

No they don't.
Soccer kicks are not allowed, why would any high level fighter learn to defend that one particular thing that is completely disallowed by the rules? In the event of multiple ones, I doubt that a high level fighter will even know what’s what…before getting KTFO’d and then winning the fight b/c the other dude/gal got disqualified.

What are you talking about?
I wasn’t talking about someone throwing an illegal soccer kick.
Most high level fighters in PRIDE didn’t get murderlized by soccer kicks. Most of the guys Shogun and Wandy kicked and stomped out weren’t on their level to say the least.

And a fighter should still know how to avoid getting soccer kicked
You need to be able to defend yourself at all times, even if your opponent decides to throw illegal blows.

It's Jose Aldo, though.
Not many guys CAN compete with him.
