PrintBrent tweeted something exactly similar to what I was thinking earlier today.
I live in the Rust Belt, and we absolutely got pounded with snow all day today. Now, when your city is in the Top-10 in the country for snow routinely (as mine is), everyone just comes to an understanding like "Yeah, I don't feel like scraping seven inches off my car, defrosting it, then driving 10 MPH to the bar. Fuck it, I'm in tonight."
Normally, that's awesome, because there's usually fights on. But tonight? Not a damned fight to be found. WHY DOESN'T YOU RAPID EXPANSION SUIT MY SNOW NEEDS, ZUFFA?!
That's when I got to thinking. It's nights like tonight, when I'm snowed it, drinking whiskey, and working on the Top-250, that we need something to pass the time. Us frequent bar patrons know of such a night, usually happens in the middle of the week, Trivia Night!
So I'm proposing a Trivia Night for Bloody Elbow. Just an idea, no set schedule or whatever, just a night where there's nothing going on, we've had a few pops, and feel like shooting the shit. I consider a few of you my friends, so if we're not doing anything else, shit, why not?
It could be MMA, it could be boxing, kickboxing, sports, movies, music, etc..., I just figured if we had a dead spot, something for us assholes to do once in a while.
Just kinda putting out the call, if anyone is a loser like me and finds themselves looking for something to do on a snowed-in day.

3 is kind of the toss up round to me. Forrest landed more but Rampage landed harder on a few occasions.

It feels really odd not having a UFC event this weekend. I didn’t want to go out tonight but I did. Snow hasn’t been the problem, its the extreme cold that nature bitch slapped me with after having that awesome weather in the 50’s for a couple weeks. If there was a UFC event, there was zero chance of me going out.

The problem with trivia is that everyone just googles it and it defeats the whole purpose. I prefer opinion stuff, and have considered doing this for a while. Like…what’s the greatest MMA grappling match you’ve ever seen? There are so many possibilities. I’d love to give everyone 24 hours to name possibilities, then post a poll and let the public decide.

Please tell me which 2 fighters were involved in the most lopsided and PATHETIC one way beatdown of a decision in the last 3 years. The loser competed one more time in the UFC resulting in a TKO loss. The winner lost his next fight via an injury before making a successfull return.

wow, well that as obscure, i don't think i've even seen that fight, it was part of the un-aired prelims of UFC 97
as far as other fights being more pathetic and embarrassing off the top of my head:
Nate Quarry vs Kaleb Starnes – the judges scored it: (30-27, 30-24, 30-26)
Forrest Petz vs Sammy Morgan – the judges scored it: (30–26, 30–23, 30–27)

Those fights are indeed notoriously one sided affairs. I knew everyone would immediately think of quarry /starnes so i had to make the criterea less than 3 years to try to stump people.
Herman/Loiseau was particulalry painfull cause Herman pretty much had his back the whole time and was kneeing the shit out of him and all Loiseau could do was go down on one knee and try to cover up. It was in Montreal and was a very bitter pill( for our french canadian friends) to swallow .
