But I would have stuck with one theme of editing. Going from film reel to the broadcast style kept it from being great for me.

I have to agree with this

That and I would have had a tad bit more actual fight footage. Otherwise, it would have been pretty much perfect.

I’ll try make some adjustments and put up a new version soon. I was thinking of including the Penn/Sherk KO but guess I got a bit impatient and wanted to finish it lol if anyone can think of any other iconic fight footage that could be good, please let me know.

That was pretty cool

I would have went for the end of the Diego Sanches vs. Kampmann(?) fight where he was busted up and won. That would have been a good way to close it out.

I love the moments you chose—moments of anticipation, disappointment, uncertainty, struggle, exhaustion … pain. I like, that through you showed moments of triumph in action, you didn’t adulterate your central group of images that showed the suffering caused by triumph, and the moments that lead up to it.

Unlike some of the other commenters, I didn’t mind the mixed modes in the visual, but I do agree with Braiterman that the warbling and distortion of the audio distracted from the effect. The Johnny Cash song sets a perfect tone by itself, I think. You don’t need to mirror the cuts and visual static of your video in the audio realm. Let Cash set the mood in his all-time great way. Just my opinion.
