1st off sorry for being MIA... just needed a break and to take some time off after such a intense year... You all know I still LUV BE! =)
So I have time of sit back and assess my career a bit... looking at the good and the bad... One thing is for sure, give this sport another 10-20 years and the statistics will start to come out. So many aspects of the game leads to so many different kinds of statistics... I for one can't wait for it. I believe statistics can truly break down a fighter and there style. Right now it's cool we have what seems to be a hit count and take down count on occasion which is great for now... but the things we will soon see as in sweeps, sub attempts, defended takedowns, statistics of all strikes kicks, knee's, elbows, and punches, standing and on the ground, ect. Things are gonna get very scientific I feel and really show how technical are sport truly is... Shutting the mouths of all the stubborn people who still think we are just cave men.
I will admit though, things got a bit frustrating after my last loss... Like damn... so close again... and now it's back to square one. But with all the ups and downs of my career and with all the support from all my fans... I push on and see the positive in everything. I am hitting my prime and then the real fun begins... =)
In this dark time(after my last loss) one thing that really helped cheer me up was asking myself the question... "How many people in the world have been 1 fight away from a title shot in the 2 biggest organizations in the world!?" Man it's frustrating and a bit depressing to realize that but I also realize it's also is one of the rarest and greatest accomplishments and statistics over looked in MMA...
How many people in the whole world have been 1 fight away from a Title shot in both the UFC and in Bellator ..... 1 man stands alone.... Muahahaha....
This statistic makes me about 1 in 7 billion! With a statistic like that... I can't help but kick myself in the ass and say stop crying and train harder... You have what it takes... you have shown that to yourself and the world... U have what it takes to be one of the best... Now shut up and train! And so I am.... This next Season of Bellator is gonna be a good one so make sure to keep up to date and enjoy some great fights. The line up has changed and Bellator is now going to be on Friday instead of Saturdays which is awesome! Now it shouldn't conflict with the UFC events at least for now. So No Excuses Not To Watch Anymore!!! lol ;P
My next fight is scheduled for March 30th at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. This will be the first round of the Season 6 welterweight tournament. I am fighting an upcoming and undefeated prospect in Raul Amaya. He is 9-0 with 9 finishes. This will be the fight of his life... and I personally go into every fight like it's the fight of my life. Anyone who knows me, knows I come to fight... Win, Lose, or Draw... I'm coming to bring it and look for a finish. While trying my best to keep it exciting. Def been working on my whole game and improving on so much i feel. This is a new year to start fresh.... Let's see if we can make a 2012 a 4 and 0 run to become the new Champ! =)
