While picking up a decision win in his fight with Mike Easton, Assuncao fought through the pain of a fractured arm.
Saturday night Bantamweight Raphael Assuncao extended his streak to three fights with a decision win over Mike Easton at UFC On Fox 5. Throughout the fight, Assuncao frustrated Easton with his counter striking and takedown defense. After the final bell rang, all three judges scored the fight a clear victory for Assuncao.
Winning a fight against a top 15 opponent is a substantial achievement by itself and only more impressive when you do it with a broken arm. Shortly after the event ended, Assuncao showed the X-ray of his broken limb to his Twitter followers:
Thanks everybody for the #prayers #positive #energy just had a lil #fracture to take care when i get back ho instagr.am/p/TAOA3qDGr9/

There's no information yet on how long it will take for Assuncao to recover from the injury. He's currently ranked #9 in the 135 lb. division in the Bloody Elbow Meta-Rankings.
