The Lightweight fight looked to be a slow affair when LeVesseur came out grinding. Trujillo turned it around and punished him for his wall-and-stall style.
Marcus LeVesseur and Abel Trujillo have both had strange journey en route to their Lightweight fight. LeVesseur was originally scheduled to fight TUF 15 winner Michael Chiesa but Chiesa pulled out just 5 days before UFC On Fox 5. The bout was scrapped until Trujillo's opponent Tim Means found a way to KO himself Friday morning while cutting weight in the sauna.
LeVesseur wasted no time turning this into a wrestling match. He grabbed onto Abel in the opening seconds and put his back against the fence to work the takedown. Trujillo lands some while defending and their separated by the ref. Back on the fence. Trujillo got violent with his elbows and punches while Marcus clings to his waist. They're separated again and Trujillo landed big knee that rocked LeVesseur.
Trujillo caught a kick from Marcus early in the second and jumped on him in sprawl position. He grabbed a guillotine and turned it into a north-south choke, but Marcus was able to escape. Trujillo landed hard on LeVesseur's chin in a scramble and dropped him. A desperate Marcus tried to put Trujillo against the fence. Trujillo hurt him with a body shot then punished him with knees to the body to get the TKO. Abel Trujillo TKO'd Marcus LeVesseur in the second round.
