Chuck Norris describes his first encounter with Helio, Rickson, and Royce Gracie to learn jiu-jitsu
In this original interview for Bloody Elbow by Team One Productions, Chuck Norris relates the story of the first time he met and trained with the legendary Gracie family in Brazil. Chuck describes grappling with Royce, Rickson and Helio Gracie.
Chuck Norris was working on a commercial video shoot with the folks at Team One Productions, one of whom happens to be pretty active in the BE community, and related an anecdote between takes.

In this segment Chuck tells the tale of his first meeting with the legendary Gracie family while in Rio de Janeiro many years ago. Chuck grappled with brothers Royce Gracie and Rickson Gracie and their father Helio Gracie and his description of getting tapped out by each of them is hilarious. Especially when the elderly Helio has to apologize to Chuck after choking him out.
Norris would go on to train with the Machados, cousins of the Gracies, in LA for the next 28 years.
