Happy New Year from Bloody Elbow!

It was the only photo of a fighter in a suit giving a thumbs up that I could find. - Ethan Miller

Bloody Elbow wishes everyone a happy -- and safe -- new year.

2012 has been an interesting and exciting year on both the MMA front and the personal front. As we head into the new year there is plenty of exciting stuff on the horizon on both fronts as well. 2013 promises to deliver some fantastic fights in mixed martial arts, the UFC has some big things planned with big fights, the debut of women in the promotion and continuing their relationship with Fox. Bellator moves to Spike and is trying to make as big of a splash as possible. Strikeforce is giving it one last show before being closed up. And plenty more. And in June I'll be a dad for the first time. So...plenty of big stuff coming.

But tonight is a night to reflect on 2012 and celebrate the year that was.

Go out, have a good time, but please be responsible. I'm all in favor of drinking and doing foolish things...as long as it doesn't include driving.

Feel free to leave a comment with your favorite memory of 2012, MMA related, life related or Bloody Elbow related.

For all the staff here at Bloody Elbow, have a safe, happy and healthy new year.
