UFC 155 results: John Moraga chokes out Chris Cariaso in the third

The flyweights opened up the action on Facebook for UFC 155. John Moraga impressed with a fight ending front choke in the third round.

Opening up the Facebook prelims for UFC 155, Flyweights John Moraga and Chris Cariaso met in the Octagon. First round started out slow, with both fighters trying to find their range. Cariaso really looking for the high kick, but Moraga landed his own first. Moraga hit a taked down but they were right back up. Slow action throughout the round, as Moraga looked to counter Cariaso's kicks.

Second round started out about the same as the first before Moraga initiated the clinch about 90 seconds in. Moraga let Cariaso off the cage and both started throwing hooks. Cariaso landed a solid head kick. A trip from Moraga off a caught kick, but he didn't get anywhere with it. Cariaso got a trip from the clinch late and ended the round on top.

Moraga showed a sense of urgency in the third. He grabbed a front choke from the clinch, pushed Cariaso down against the cage and pressured to get the tap. John Moraga submitted Chris Cariaso at 1:11 of the third round.
