It's Thursday, and I just realized that Super Fight League won't be on tomorrow morning. I am going to have to wait late January for the next Super Fight League, and it's funny because I'm actually looking forward to it.

I remember just waking up early on a Friday and going on BE. I don't remember which one was it, but they had one of the Super Fight League streams/discussions on it. I checked it out, and I was just hooked. I even went so far as set my alarm clock on Fridays so I wouldn't miss a Super Fight League.

Besides Supreet Bedi, there isn't one particular thing that particularly appeals me towards Super Fight League. For all intents and purposes, I really shouldn't like it. The fighters are the lowest quality fighters out there, and any time an Egyptian or Indian fighter fights a foreigner, they generally lose. Also, it's extremely campy. At the same time, ironically, it's these qualities that are the appeal of Super Fight League.

Because of this low quality of fighter, there's a really high finishing rate in Super Fight League, usually by something like guillotine or rear naked choke. However, there are some finishes that I've never seen like stand and pound, or submission from a headlock. Also, I don't tend to see boring fights.

Super Fight League may be campy, but it's also very fun at the same time. The dancing girls, the theme song, the horns, the audience dancing, calling the cage the O-Zone, mop guy(s), just brings a personality to Super Fight League that a mediocre MMA promotion just doesn't have. Does LegacyFC, MFC, or XFC have better fighters-yes? However, those are mediocre MMA promotions, in my opinion, and mediocrity can be boring. The fighters in SFL are just terrible, and I don't even know the names of any of them except for Ritika Singh, but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy watching SFL fights.

Super Fight League does fall into "it's so bad that it's funny," and I'm mainly talking about the fighters being bad. However, I like to call it MMA's biggest guilty pleasure. There's something about it that's hilariously bad at times, but it's very fun and entertaining at the same time. For me personally, I'd rather watch Super Fight League than one of those MMA promotions that are on AXS TV. Nothing against those MMA promotions, but it's just that SFL just stands out more and has it's own unique personality.

Finally, Supreet Bedi is just the best. She is really hot, and she has that distinct voice and proper-sounding English. Her puns and unintentionally comedic lines are great. If it was anyone else, it would just be bad, but anything coming from her is just awesome.
