UFC president Dana White is telling the media that there is one cast member on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter who's got everyone else "terrified" and that he "scares the living s--t out of everyone."
UFC president Dana White took some time at a media luncheon this week to talk up the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter featuring coaches Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen. The season is currently being taped.
MMA Fighting was there:
"I know you guys are going to call bulls--- on me and all that. I told you guys, last season of The Ultimate Fighter was the worst season in the history of TUF. This next season is so awesome and so badass. We have a guy on this season of The Ultimate Fighter, every fight he's in, someone goes to the hospital.
"The whole house is terrified of this guy," White said. "F-- terrified. Everybody. I picked this fight, and this guy is lined up with the guy I'm telling you about, and the guy has a nervous breakdown in the house over the weekend. Has a f-- nervous breakdown. Freaks out and has a nervous breakdown. This guy scared the living s--- out of everyone. It's awesome," said White.
Cynics will remember when Dana dubbed season 8 TUF competitor Phillipe Nover "the Lightweight Anderson Silva." Nover came in second to Efrain Escudero in that season's tournament and went on to go 0-3 in the UFC and is currently 1-1 in Bellator.
TUF 17 will make its season premier on Tues., Jan. 22, 2013 at 9 p.m. ET on the FX Channel. Coaches Jones and Sonnen will fight for Jones' Light Heavyweight title at UFC 159 in April, 2013.
