Nonito Donaire def. Jorge Arce by KO, 2:59, round 3
Tonight, boxing top 10 pound for pound fighter "The Filipino Flash" Nonito Donaire took to the ring opposite Mexico's Jorge Arce. It took Donaire only three rounds to assert his dominance, knocking Arce out.
The normally aggressive Arce started this fight being more cautious against the very skilled Donaire. That caution didn't help him, as he was knocked down in the 2nd round. After that knock down, he came out strong for round 3, but that proved to be his undoing, as Donaire first landed a right hand counter for a knock down, then followed it up with a beautiful left hook KO punch. It's another big KO to add to Donaire's highlight reel, and caps off a brilliant 4-0 year that may earn him fighter of the year honors.
