Watch Soa Palelei dominate and stop Sean McCorkle early on their heavyweight bout at AFC 4 in Melbourne, Australia.

Soa Palelei, who is one of the few very talented heavyweights outside of the Zuffa umbrella, continued his case for another UFC stint as he stopped Sean McCorkle at Australian Fighting Championships 4 this past weekend.

The Australian heavyweight dominated McCorkle early, taking the fellow UFC vet down and pounding him out until the ref had to stop the fight on the opening round. The victory continued his winning streak to 8 fights, with his last loss coming back in 2010 against Strikeforce champ, Daniel Cormier.

After a loss on his one and only UFC fight led to an early release five years ago, Palelei is looking for another shot at the big leagues. A possible hurdle though is his age, as the UFC matchmakers aren't as likely to be in a rush to bring a 35-year-old into the fold. Either way, he's been on a tear since the release, and can definitely cause problems for the average UFC heavyweight.
