To headline their inaugural event, the World Series of Fighting brought in former UFC Heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski. The Belarusian should be on a 3 fight win streak were it not for being penalized by the odd rules of ONE FC. In his last bout, Andrei finished Tim Sylvia with a big soccer kick, however he failed to get permission from the referee and the fight was ruled a no contest. His opponent was fellow Strikeforce veteran Devin Cole. Cole's on a 2 fight win streak, but hasn't fought in 10 months.
Arlovski looked good early working his counter striking before a failed takedown by Cole left him with his back against the cage. Arlovski reversed and quickly broke off. Cole initiated the fight ending exchange with a low kick followed by a left hand. Andrei was having none of it, though and dropped him with a big right hand. A little obligatory ground and pound and Andrei Arlovski picked up the TKO halfway through the first round.
