Well, this should be amusing. The UFC has announced via twitter that two featherweights badly in need of a win will face off at UFC 155 on December 29th. Leonard Garcia (15-9-1) will be meeting Cody McKenzie (13-3) on the undercard.
Garcia has lost three bouts in a row, and is 2-5 in the UFC overall over two stints. His only win on this run was a highly controversial split decision victory over Nam Phan, who came back to decision Garcia in a rematch. He's well-known for his brawling style and his ability to take close decisions in bouts that he has seemingly lost.
McKenzie, a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 12, dropped to featherweight after a 2-2 run at lightweight in the UFC. But he was destroyed by Chad Mendes in 31 seconds at UFC 148 in his featherweight debut, and. UFC president Dana White bagged on him quite a bit in the post-fight press conference that night.
