Two welterweights will return from extended layoffs in January at UFC on FOX 6.
Well-rounded German competitor Pascal Krauss (10-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Illinois-based fighter Mike Stumpf (11-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) are set to meet at the event.
Krauss has been in the UFC since 2010 but has scarcely had any ring time. He defeated Mark Scanlon in a FOTN battle at UFC 122, but lost to John Hathaway at UFC on FOX 3 this past May. Injuries have set him back, causing him to pull out of the original Hathaway bout in November 2011 and against Gunnar Nelson two months ago in Nottingham, England.
Stumpf has experienced a similar problem with injuries, hence he's only fought once in the UFC. Unfortunately for him, his lone fight was a submission loss to T.J. Waldburger on the prelims of the final Fight Night card on Spike TV in September 2011.
This fight will take place on the preliminary card, although it is unknown whether it will air on FX or Facebook.
