EUN SOO LEE TKO'S SHUNGO OYAMA, TAKES ROAD FC MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE
In the main event, PRIDE veterans Shungo Oyama (13-16) and Eun Soo Lee (16-4) faced off for the middleweight title, and the fight didn't last that long. After a brief feeling out period on the opening round, former Spirit MC heavyweight champ, Lee was able to drop Oyama twice before finishing him to take his Road FC strap.
JEFF MONSON TAKES DECISION VICTORY
On the co-main event slot, 41-year-old MMA vet, Jeff Monson was able to notch his 48th career win with a well earned decision over Korean wrestling champ and MMA newcomer, Kang Dong Gook. This marks the 4th straight victory for the well traveled heavyweight, which also includes a submission win over Alexander Emelianenko just a little over a week ago.
TAKASUKE KUME, NAM YUI CHUL ADVANCE TO LWGP FINALS
The semi-finals of the Road FC Lightweight Grand Prix were concluded, and two of the brightest prospects in the region have advanced to the finals.
Hatsu Hioki's teammate and fast rising star, Takasuke Kume (15-1), completely outclassed Yoon Chul, and submitted him in the opening round. This marks the 9th straight victory for one of Japan's top fighters, all of which coming by way of submission.
Oh the other side of the bracket, Scouting Report inductee and former Legend FC top contender Nam Yui Chul faced off against ONE FC vet and Muay Thai champ, Vuyisile Colossa in a rematch of their 2011 clash. Much like their first bout though, Nam was able to land good shots and control him on the ground, which was enough to earn him a decision victory.
With the quality wins, Kume and Nam will be facing off on a future Road FC card to crown the promotion's inaugural lightweight champion.
JIN SOO YUK, JEONG GYO PARK TAKE FIRST VICTORIES
As the opening bouts on the Road FC 10 main card, Korean fighters Jin Soo Yuk and Jeong Gyo Park both claimed their first career victories.
