Rory MacDonald has B.J Penn to worry about first, but still has his sights set on getting revenge against Carlos Condit.
Rory MacDonald's lone career loss came at UFC 115 via last second TKO loss to Carlos Condit in what had been, to that point, an extremely close fight. MacDonald will face B.J. Penn at UFC on Fox 5 in a fight that may put him in line for a title shot while Condit just lost his interim title to true champion Georges St. Pierre.
But or all the potential title shot talk, MacDonald still seems to want an eventual rematch with Condit (via ESPN):
"I respect him (Condit) completely, he's one of the guys I respect most in the sport," MacDonald told ESPN. "His outlook and his attitude is great.
"But I feel like I was embarrassed in that fight. I want to prove to myself and the world that I am the better fighter and I want revenge for the embarrassment I felt that night.
"Everyone has their own opinion of the fight, but at the end of the day I lost and was embarrassed. It is what it is. I plan to be the world champ."
