Ivan Menjivar showed off how well-rounded he is, finishing Azamat Gashimov from the bottom in the first round of their UFC 154 bantamweight bout. The armbar finish, which made Gashimov scream out in pain, came at 2:44 of the first round and will surely be a contender for submission of the night.

Gashimov looked to counter Menjivar's punches early, and got a takedown. Menjivar looked for an armbar from the bottom and gave Gashimov a good upkick when he escaped. Menjivar took a few punches, then turned over and locked on a beautiful armbar very quickly. He spun and locked it and while Gashimov tried to slam his way out of it, Menjivar twisted in the air and torqued after it hit the ground. Gashimov's arm looked to be severely damaged. It was pretty nasty and beautiful at the same time.

Menjivar rebounded from a decision loss to Mike Easton earlier this year and has now won four of his last five fights.
