UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre has said in the past that he's not overly fond of his media duties, but he does them anyway because it's part of his job. After the UFC open workouts today, he was predictably swarmed by the media and answered a ton of the same, repetitive questions (in his words, "like a robot"). When MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani came along for his interview, he tried to switch it up a bit for GSP by asking him some different stuff.
First off, he was asked what he feels is a bigger problem in MMA - reffing or judging:
Judging. I believe a lot of judges are not well-educated on the sport.
After talking about how it feels to make his return, he tells a pretty funny story about getting distracted when he saw Cindy Crawford cageside during one of his bouts with B.J. Penn. That one won't come across well in transcription - you're gonna have to watch the video. He also denied a rumor that he ever dated Mandy Moore, and wouldn't now because he's "married to his job". I've never heard that rumor, and I'm glad he didn't date her because I don't want to have to fight Georges St. Pierre.
The interview concludes with GSP deftly sidestepping some trash talk about Rory MacDonald's style makeover, and he says if he could do anything outside of MMA, anything at all, he'd get a time machine. Why? To go back and see a tyrannosaurus rex, of course. There's probably a Mark Coleman joke to be made here, but I leave that for you guys.
