Joe Camporeale-US PRESSWIRE
And the bad news just keeps coming. Not long after Dana White announced that Shane Carwin blew out his knee and was forced out of The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale, a main-card UFC 155 bout has been retooled. Gray Maynard is out of his bout with Joe Lauzon at UFC 155, and Jim Miller is in. The UFC's twitter account confirmed the news:
PLUS Gray Maynard injured, out of Lauzon fight at UFC 155 - Jim Miller stepping in to take his place.
— UFC (@ufc) November 14, 2012
The nature of Gray's injury is unknown at this time. Maynard (11-1-1, 1 NC) hasn't fought since his split-decision win over Clay Guida at UFC on FX 4 in June. Miller (21-4), a former Maynard opponent, is coming off a nasty submission loss to Nate Diaz at UFC on Fox 3 in May.
Whether the bout stays on the main card is anyone's guess. By the end of this injury-filled day, it could be the co-main event.
