UFC 154 marks not only their first event in Montreal since 2010, but the return of Georges St. Pierre. The UFC Welterweight champion has gone 19 months between fights after suffering two serious knee injuries. In that time, Carlos Condit swooped in and took an interim title over Nick Diaz, and Condit chose to wait for the #1 draw in the sport today, setting up one of the most anticipated fights of the year.
Anderson Silva will be cageside next Saturday, possibly to call out GSP for the much-discussed superfight. The evening's co-main event is a likely #1 contender fight between Martin Kampmann and Johny Hendricks. In total, there are a whopping 13 fights on this card, which I believe is just the 2nd time the UFC has done that, the other being UFC 103: Franklin vs. Belfort.
Here's the fight lineup for November 17th, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
