The UFC is dealing with a gigantic mismatch as their main event this weekend in Brazil, as Anderson Silva fights Stephan Bonnar at 205 lbs. They released a portion of their preview of the fight today.
We're just a few days away from UFC 153, headlined by a special 205 lbs fight between middleweight champion Anderson Silva and fan favorite Stephan Bonnar. On paper it's a gigantic mismatch and there wasn't much of a choice given the rushed nature of booking this fight to "save the card". There are two realistic outcomes to this - Either Stephan Bonnar pulls off the greatest upset in UFC history or Anderson Silva does something incredibly violent in front of his rabid Brazilian fans.
The UFC has spent their advertising dollars promoting Silva's greatness and how large an underdog Bonnar is ... but they've also released a snippet of their preview which features Joe Rogan telling you how intriguing a fight this is for various reasons, including Bonnar's size, toughness, and the "Rocky" storyline.
